My 2nd Umrah - Part 1

Alhamdulillah my doa was answered... I've been invited to Mekah Al Mukarramah and Medinah Al Munawarrah again early this year... This time, I brought my wife with me as per my wish in 2011...

Instead of just Umrah, we also decided to visit Egypt... For this year, we use Andalusia Travel and their service is commendable. They can be better if they improve the food served in the hotel.

Anyway, our journey start in early April. We departed KLIA in the evening heading to Cairo, Egypt via Bangkok...

It took us more than 12 hours before we finally reach Cairo International Airport next day.

Upon arrival, we were taken for our Egyptian breakfast and subsequently proceeded to to Horizon Hotel in Giza District to check. It's a very cozy and nice hotel with so many happenings nearby. We then proceeded to the most popular spot in Egypt i.e. Giza Pyramid & The Sphinx

We also visited few interesting places in the first two days before going for Nile River Cruise Dinner in our second night

Off course not without the 'traditional' Egyptian dancing...

On our third day, we are off to Alexandria... nice city facing the Mediterranean sea... A nice city in contrast to hustling and bustling city of Cairo. I managed to performed Friday prayer there before heading back to Cairo for our last nite in Egypt.

During our stay, amongst the interesting places which I strongly recommend for anybody to visit there, amongst them are El Khalili Bazaar (unfortunately we only have few hours to spend time there), Saladin Citadel, Sultan Hassan Masjid and Perfume factory... people in Egypt generally are friendly but the food is more towards French taste...

On our 4th day, we depart for Jeddah through their Haj terminal

Will share my experience in Mekah Al Mukarramah in Part 2....
