Phone In School

It's very interesting to read argument about whether the school authorities should allow the children to bring phones to school...

Both have their pros & cons but I'm more incline towards granting it with few strict conditions attached.

Why I'm for it?
My basis is more towards safety of the children to and from office. With so many things happening lately especially in major cities, as a parent, I felt more secured when I can communicate with my children whilst they are traveling to and from school. What if anything happened during the journey, the least they could do is to call/sms the parents immediately. With them not carrying much cash, it would be troublesome to contact the parents without their mobile phones. Off course, along the way if they need to stop somewhere, they can just immediately inform the parents. There are many other instances that I can think of, enough said of my main intention.

What are the conditions?
The school should make a ruling where once they are in the school compound, they MUST switch off the phone so that during classes, there wont be any interference. The teachers should remind the children to switch it off every first class of the day.

Again there are many other conditions and solution to whatever we can do, but I solely touch on the main points argued in general mass.

Just my 2 cents
